The Nordic Conference on Future Health had an "inspiring atmosphere of collaboration".
Thank you to everyone who participated in the Nordic Conference on Future Health! Your participation made the conference a great success, hopefully leaving everyone with new inspiration, knowledge and network of colleagues in biobanking and precision medicine.
As a joint conference between The Nordic Society of Human Genetics and Precision Medicine and the Nordic Biobanks, it was the aim to bring together biobankers, epidemiologists, geneticists, clinicians, industry researchers, policymakers, educators and more to network and to share research findings, knowledge, and national experiences.
President of NSHG-PM Ole Andreassen said at the conference:
"With all the new data coming in, we really saw the big opportunities for Nordic precision health at this first conference to include both biobanking and research. The atmosphere of collaboration on cross-sample and cross-national initiatives was inspiring. We have to take that to the next level."
Some stats from the conference
There were 439 participants in Trondheim, representing 18 countries and 71 organisations, fueled by 302 litres of coffee (conservative estimate). An estimated 630 km were walked to and from the organ recital concert at the impressive Trondheim Nidaros cathedral.
